THE BÖNNINGHAUSEN REPERTORY Therapeutic Pocketbook Method
Second Edition
The most accurate English re-translation of Bönninghausen’s Therapeutisches Taschenbuch carefully corrected with reference to his original manuscript
Edited by
George Dimitriadis
It is now a decade since the publication of our The Bönninghausen Repertory (TBR), and this second edition is the result of our continued application of this repertorial method with constant reference to our primary sources for clarification of rubric terms. Our continued research over the years has confirmed many of our previous findings and firmly implanted our position that all decisions taken for this present work be based solely on evidence with specific reference to source provings data.
Summary of features and changes from first edition TBR:
- The most accurate repertory
Every entry checked against Bönninghausen’s own TT manuscript [TTm], and discrepancies decided after careful reference to source provings data. Accurate rendering and re-translation (from the German) of MM symptoms
- The only repertory with contextual clarification of rubrics
The system of explanatory endnotes first introduced in TBR-I has been expanded considerably, with each rubric referenced to its original German TT rubric title, as well to the page of TTm wherein it may be found . Wherever a MM reference is given, the entire symptom (and corrected where necessary) has been reproduced to assist the repertorian in quickly comprehending the meaning and applicability of that rubric in the case at hand.
- The only repertory with a consistent and meaningful grading system
The pedigree of TT into TBR provides a faithful representation of its consistent grading system, which allows the repertorian to consider Bönninghausen’s own clinical experience in the analysis. This is not possible with any other repertorial work.
- The most compact repertory, yet fully representing the medicines contained
The structure of this work allows for a fully comprehensive representation of source provings for each of the 125 medicines contained in this work.
- The book itself
368 pages, Hardbound
140 pages explanatory endnotes linked to each rubric number
70 pages introductory frontispieces, including a history of repertory, with illustration of how to use this repertorial method
